As the debate over health care reform rages, a commonly heard argument on both sides of the debate is "Americans have a right to health care!", or on the other side "it is unconstitutional for the Federal government to nationalize health care!"
Yet another installment of everyone's favorite topic: health care reform ideas!
The White House has said that it will take no decision on sending more troops to Afghanistan until it determines the new government is a "true partner".
But an America that's tired of being the world's policeman, and is too pinched to be the world's philanthropist, could still be the world's partner.
As the Teabagging "movement" emerges from its infancy, it is becoming more and more clear that they are not "Americans concerned by big government", but are merely another wing of the Republican Party.

If you swore alliegience to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, then shut up about God already.
While I hate that prop 8 ever passed, and I hate that a bunch of ignorant bible-thumpers have infringed upon the rights of other Americans who pay every bit as much tax as the rest of us, the court's decision is correct.
I just wanted to let you know that this is actually incorrect. Since we are a republic, the minority is represented with equal weight to the majority. As such there becomes a conflict where the people could not possibly decide the matter.
In a republic where equal rights are the law, the government has no right to affect whether or not a person may marry and since men and women are considered equal under the law, no more weight can be given to which sex is appropriate. Not allowing people of the same sex is actually a violation of civil rights since it assigns a higher value both to a certain type of citizen and to a citizen of a certain sex. So, in closing, being that it is a violation of civil rights in a nation that is a Republic gay marriage is a right and cannot be voted away but is required to be upheld by the Judicial branch.
